Secretary General of the International Maritime Organisation Arrived in Pakistan
Islamabad: September 11, 2024

The Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Arsenio Dominguez, has arrived in Pakistan for a three-day visit. He will participate in a three-day conference and exhibition organized by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs. The conference will be held in Islamabad on September 12 and in Karachi on September 13 and 14. This is the first time an IMO Secretary-General has visited Pakistan. During his visit, he will also hold meetings with the President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister, and the Chief of Naval Staff. Upon his arrival at Islamabad Airport, he was welcomed by officials from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and other authorities. Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Qaisar Ahmed Sheikh, remarked that this is a proud moment for our maritime industry, and we extend a warm welcome to the IMO Secretary-General. *****
