President Mamnoon Hussain has said that Pakistan is passing through critical times and emphasized that Operation Zarb-e-Azb will continue till complete elimination of the last terrorist from the country. The President lauded the sacrifices rendered by the Armed Forces adding that law and order situation is improving as a result of Operation Zarb-e-Azb. The President exhorted the young cadets to serve their homeland with zeal and dedication and keep themselves abreast of issues to effectively meet the challenges.

The President said this while addressing the cadets of Armed Forces belonging to Army, Navy and Air Force who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Thursday.

The President stated that the government is committed to make the defence of the country invincible and in this regard requirements of the Armed Forces will be met. The President said that economic policies of the Government are in the right direction and as a result there is a discernible turnaround in the national economy thereby creating favorable environment for foreign investment.

The President stated that corruption has eroded the foundation of the country and stressed that the revival of state institutions and resuscitation of economy of the country is premised on the rooting out of the menace of corruption.

President Mamnoon Hussain said that the government is concertedly making efforts to promote national integration and called upon the people to foil machinations of the anti-state elements to create provincial, linguistic and religious rifts and emphasized for forging unity in our ranks to achieve peace and prosperity.

The President called upon the young cadets to uphold the highest standards of integrity and always be prepared for defending the frontiers of the country. “You should serve your motherland like a true Pakistani by rising above ethnic and racial discrimination and always keep the interests of your country supreme above everything”, remarked the President. The President urged the cadets to always respect their teachers and parents.

The President had candid discussion with the cadets and answered their questions on the current situation in the country.
