Sheikh Aftab Ahmed, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and In charge Minister for Prime Minister’s Public Affairs and Grievances Wing has said that all measures would be taken for the development of districts for the betterment of masses specially for remote areas, adding various development projects has already been initiated to this effect by the incumbent government. He stated this while chairing the separate meetings regarding District Development and Crimes Control at minister’s office here today.

The minister said that there will be no compromise on crimes, as all out efforts are being taken by the present government for prevention and elimination of crimes in the country, he maintained.

He said that the street crime which has become a big issue would be curbed and this menace to be handled with iron hands for which harmony and cooperation between the Police and masses will be required to cope with this menace effectively.

As measures and directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif are being taken to improve the life security and property of masses and there would be zero tolerance on negligence or corruption in all administrative institutions. Strict action would be taken against those who were found involved in corruption or negligence, he added.

He directed the concerned authorities to release funds on time for completion of on-going projects rapidly. Construction and repairing of roads, up gradation of hospitals, provision of electricity, gas and betterment of sewerage system must be completed on stipulated period of time frame at Attock District, he added.

The minister said that under the vision and directions of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, collectively efforts are being taken to put Pakistan on the track of prosperity and enlightenment as per mandate given to present government by the people of Pakistan.

Representatives of Administration of Rawalpindi Division, DCO Attock, representatives of IESCO, SNGPL, Heads of Police Department of Attock and Rawalpindi, MNAs, MPAs of Attock and other high officials are also attended the meeting.
