Minister For Water Resources Calls On The Prime Minister Islamabad: August 09, 2017

Minister for Water Resources Syed Javed Ali Shah called on Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi at PM Office in Islamabad today.

The Prime Minister stated that water security is of prime concern for the government in view of impacts of climate change on Pakistan.

Government is cognizant of the water management issues and has therefore established separate ministry for water resources, emphasized the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister directed the Minister for Water Resources to undertake proactive measures for increasing water storage capacity of the country by planning for new water reservoirs and implementing on-going projects on fast track.
