Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Visits Workers Welfare Fund Office

The Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Ch Salik Hussain, visited the Workers Welfare Fund (WWF) office today for a briefing on the Fund's operations and achievements. The presentation was led by Mr. Zulfiqar Ahmad, Secretary of the Workers Welfare Fund. The Minister expressed his appreciation for the overall achievements of the Workers Welfare Fund and emphasized the need to expedite the processing of welfare grants to ensure that workers benefit in the shortest possible time. During the briefing, the Minister highlighted those major economically developed countries, including Saudi Arabia, Germany, Korea, and Japan, are experiencing a shortage of skilled human capital. Highlighting the critical need for skill development globally, the Minister noted that economically strong countries are facing a shortage of skilled human capital. He stressed that Pakistan should seize this opportunity by focusing on skill development for its youth. The Minister directed the Workers Welfare Fund to prioritize skill development initiatives and proposed collaboration with external companies to establish state-of-the-art skill development institutes. The Minister's visit underscores the government's commitment to enhancing the welfare and development of workers in Pakistan, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills to compete in the global market. *-*-*-*
