PAKISTANI UMRAH PILGRIMS REACH MAKKAH RECEIVE WARM WELCOME
Islamabad: May 23, 2024

A significant number of over 12,000 Pakistani pilgrims has arrived in Makkah to perform Umrah, following their visit to Madinah on Thursday. The majority of these pilgrims have been accommodated at Azizia and Batha Quraish areas of Makkah. To date, approximately 30,000 pilgrims have arrived in Saudi Arabia under the government scheme, traveling via 126 flights. Additionally, over 2,000 pilgrims have arrived under private arrangements. The Pakistan hajj mission, Saudi authorities, and catering companies have extended a warm welcome to the pilgrims, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Twelve more flights are scheduled to arrive in Madinah today, bringing additional pilgrims. Direct hajj flights from Pakistan to Jeddah will commence on May 24. To facilitate the pilgrims, the Pakistan hajj mission has deployed 156 Mu'awineen (assistants) to provide medical facilities and 336 assistants for transportation, accommodation, and food arrangements. The main control office of the hajj mission continues to guide and support pilgrims through the Pak hajj mobile app.
