Religious Affairs minister Salik Hussain visits hospital in Makkah

lamabad: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Chaudhry Salik Hussain paid a visit to the main hospital designated for Pakistani pilgrims in Makkah. The federal minister was briefed by the Head of Hajj Medical Mission, Brigadier Jameel Lakhir and provided his insights into the various departments of the hospital. Expressing contentment with the standard of medical services available for Pakistani pilgrims, the minister highlighted the importance of having medical professionals who can communicate in the same language as the patients, emphasizing the value of this provision for those away from their homeland. Religious minister Salik Hussain commended the rigorous selection process that ensured the inclusion of top-tier doctors and paramedical staff in the Hajj Medical Mission. The federal minister underscored the commitment to providing quality healthcare services to the pilgrims during hajj pilgrimage. Witnessing the state-of-the-art infrastructure in place to cater to the medical needs of the pilgrims, the minister toured the hospital facilities including the ambulance service, laboratory, x-ray department, pharmacy, male and female wards, and the dental department. Talking to the hajj pilgrims seeking treatment at the hospital, the minister advised them to maintain a balanced diet and prioritize their physical well-being during the hajj period. He also recommended the use of hydrating drinks and umbrellas to prevent health issues especially considering the upcoming hot season.
