Religious Affairs secretary chairs zoom meeting on Hajj operation -- emphasizes need for top-notch facilities for Hajj pilgrims

Federal Secretary Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Zulfiquar Haider chaired a zoom meeting on Hajj operation here on Wednesday. Director General Hajj, Abdul Wahab Soomro provided insights on the Hajj operation from Makka. Addressing the meeting, the federal secretary emphasized the need for top-notch facilities for Hajj pilgrims, highlighting the importance of gathering feedback and opinions. He stressed the compilation of data from pilgrim surveys and zero tolerance for negligence. DG Hajj informed that three tawafa companies have been enlisted to facilitate pilgrims at Mina and Arafat, all Pakistani Hajj pilgrims will be housed in Madinah and pilgrims availing government scheme will stay at Aziziya, Batha Quraish, and Hai Naseem areas of Makkah. The meeting was briefed that medical services will be available through two hospitals and dispensaries in Makkah and Madinah. Accommodations, food, and travel arrangements in both cities have already been secured for pilgrims, it added.
