• PRIME MINISTER HAS BEEN PLEASED TO CONSTITUTE AN 8 MEMBERS LEGAL REFORMS COMMITTEE WHICH WILL BE CHAIRED BY SENATOR AZAM NAZIR TARAR

Federal Minister Azam Nazir Tarar officially assumed charge as the Minister for Law and Justice at the Law Ministry. He was warmly welcomed by all high officials within the ministry as he embarked on his new role. Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazir Tarar reiterated his unwavering commitment to serving the nation and improving the law and justice system in Pakistan. He emphasized the importance of upholding the rule of law, ensuring justice for all, and promoting transparency and accountability within the legal framework. He further added, Prime Minister has taken notice of delays in dispensation of justice in criminal and civil matters. Reforms are needed across criminal, civil fiscal and constitutional domains to streamline legal processes and to ensure swift and speedy justice. Prime Minister has been pleased to constitute an 8 members legal reforms committee which will be chaired by Senator Azam Nazir Tarar. Other members include Senator Ishaq Dar, Mr. Shahid Hamid, Mr. Zahid Hamid, Mr. Makhdoom Ali Khan, Attorney General of Pakistan, Mr. Shahzad Shaukat President, SCBAP, and Mr. Muhammad Ahsan Bhoon, PBC. As he begins his tenure, Law Minister looks forward to work collectively that will enhance access to justice, protect human rights, and strengthen the foundations of democracy in Pakistan.
