INSPECTION OF PSDP PROJECT TITLED “REPLACEMENT AND UPGRADATION OF HVAC PLANT ROOM EQUIPMENT AND ALLIED WORKS AT PIMS, ISLAMABAD” BY PMIC INSPECTION TEAM
Islamabad: January 22, 2024

The Prime Minister of Pakistan has expressed deep concern over the unwarranted delays in completion of project titled “Replace and Upgradation of HVAC Plant Room Equipments and Allied Works at PIMS, Islamabad”. After showing dissatisfaction over the reports from Ministry of Housing and Works and Ministry of National Health Services Regulations and Coordination regarding the delays in completion of the project the has been sent to Prime Minister’s Inspection Commission (PMIC) for ensuring effective supervision of the project.
2. The Chairman PMIC, Brig. (Retd.) Muzaffar Ali Ranjha assigned the task to inquiry team headed by Mr. Zahir Shah Member PMIC for vigorously persuading the project and its completion at the earliest. The team comprised of Mr. Zahir Shah, Member, Mr. Safdar Ali, Co-opted Member, Mr. Muhammad Saleh Narejo, Director and Mr. Ahmed Waseem, Assistant Director, PMIC visited PIMS on Monday, 22nd January, 2024 and inspected the ongoing work of the HVAC regarding installation of the centrally air conditioning of the whole buildings of PIMS. The representatives of Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination, Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, Ministry of Housing & works, administration of PIMS, the officers of Pak PWD and Contractors were present during the inspection. The team observed the progress made by the contractors and Pak PWD in the light of directions was given on 29th December, 2023 during the visit of PMIT. Directions were given during the visit for speedy and effective completion of the project with deadlines which has been significantly delayed.
3. The PMIC team has stressed for completion of the project before 31st January, 2024 and accordingly Chairman, PMIC will visit the PIMS Hospital’s instant project on 30th January, 2024. An interim report regarding progress in the project has already been submitted to the office of Hon’able Prime Minister of Pakistan.
