MEMBER PMIC’S MEETING ON PSDP PROJECT TITLED “CONSTRUCTION OF MODEL PRISON AT H-16, ISLAMABAD” AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR ITS TIMELY COMPLETION

Brig. (Retd.) Muzaffar Ali Ranjha, took cognizance of the concerns of the Prime Minister of Pakistan over the unwarranted delays in the completion of PSDP Projects. After showing dissatisfaction over the implementation status and also latest progress on decisions were made in the meeting held on 20-12-2023 at PMIC from Ministry of Interior and Pak PWD regarding the delays in completion of the project, the monitoring task has been given to Engr. Aamir Hasan, Member PMIC (former retired Federal Secretary) for ensuring effective supervision of the project.
2. The Member PMIC, Engr. Aamir Hasan chaired the meeting held on 2nd January, 2024 (Tuesday) at Prime Minister’s Inspection Commission, Prime Minister’s Office, Islamabad attended by Muhammad Saleh Narejo, Director, PMIC and the officers of Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, Ministry of Housing & Works, Pakistan Public Works Department (Pak PWD), National Highway Authority (NHA), Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), Capital Development Authority (CDA), Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) in person and Punjab Prison Department through online.
3. The representatives of Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, Ministry of Housing & Works, Pak PWD, NHA, ICT, CDA, RDA and Punjab Prison Department briefed the Member, PMIC on the implementation status and latest progress on decisions were made in the meeting held on 20-12-2023 on the Model Prison Project. Directions were given during the meeting for speedy and effective completion of the project with deadlines which has been significantly delayed.
4. The Member, PMIC has stressed for completion of the project in true letter and spirit. The implementation report regarding progress in the project will be submitted to the Hon’able Prime Minister of Pakistan.
