Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sardar Tariq Masood has taken oath as Acting Chief Justice of
Pakistan. The oath was administered by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ijaz-Ul-Ahsan, in a simple and
dignified ceremony in Supreme Court Islamabad today i.e. 16.12.2023. Hon’ble Mr. Justice
Sardar Tariq Masood will act as Chief Justice of Pakistan during the period Hon’ble Mr. Justice
Qazi Faiz Isa, Chief Justice of Pakistan remains abroad. Hon’ble Judges of the Supreme Court
of Pakistan, Judges of Lahore High Court, Attorney General for Pakistan, representatives of
Pakistan Bar Council, Supreme Court Bar Association attended the ceremony. Ms. Jazeela
Aslam, Registrar Supreme Court of Pakistan conducted the proceedings of oath taking
ceremony. Officers and staff of the Supreme Court of Pakistan were also present at the
occasion.
