Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) is taking extensive measures to provide relief to the deserving and marginalized people despite its limited resources. The Managing Director, Amir Fida Paracha, highlighted various initiatives during a detailed press briefing in PBM Head Office, emphasizing transparency and merit. The organization has implemented the World Bank's PMTD (Project Management and Tracking Design) to ensure international standards in service delivery. Paracha mentioned the eradication of traditional red tape in Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, facilitating swift processing of requests such as medical assistance, educational support, special friends, cochlear implants, individual financial aid, and more through paperless e-filing. The use of digital systems enhances administrative efficiency, and the organization has established a new Directorate for donation management under the Bait-ul-Mal Act. Efforts have been made to streamline budgetary allocations and a new Directorate P&I (Procurement and Inventory) aims to enhance transparency and efficiency in managing tenders and contracts nationwide. Additionally, automation has been initiated to improve Human Resource Management, Funds, and Pension System accessibility for employees. Amir Fida Paracha emphasized the use of digital cameras for effective monitoring of projects, bringing about improvements in organization and facilities. Pakistan Sweet Homes has provided free accommodation, food, and education to over 4,700 children, with additional support for higher education through the OWSP (Orphan Widows Support Program). The organization has digitized all projects, including Women Empowerment Centers, Child Labor Rehabilitation Centers, and Pakistan Sweet Homes, ensuring secure payment transactions through a biometric system. The introduction of gender, whistle-blowing, and conflict of interest policies aligns with the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety guidelines. For the first time in history, a grand exhibition was organized at E-9 Park to showcase the achievements and functioning of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, aiming to garner support and trust from donors and stakeholders. Despite financial challenges, the organization remains committed to its projects, refraining from discontinuing any beneficial initiatives or laying off daily wage employees. Managing Director PBM expressed confidence that the ongoing reforms and initiatives would enhance the organization's efficiency, credibility, and goodwill, fostering trust in government agencies.
