ECO Cultural Institute (ECOCI) in Tehran presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Embassies of the ECO Member States, and the ECO Secretariat in Tehran and has the honour to inform that the Award Committee meeting scheduled for November 13, 2023 has been postponed. A new date will be announced in due course. The ECOCI has the honour to inform that the ECO Youth Award is meant to be the most prestigious regional level award for the youth of ECO member states who excel in arts and culture. The ECOCI noted with concern that there was no registration from three of the ten ECO member states and one or two oda registrations from some other member states. With such low level of nominations, the shortlisting of the best candidate is not possible. This situation might have ariser: due to lack of publicity for the ECO Youth Award. Apropos, the ECOCI has the honor to request all embassies to publicize details of this Award to all their national level arts institutes, cultural centres and leading universities teaching liberal arts and fine arts. It is requested that a consolidated list of nominations, not less than ten for each country, may be forwarded to this Institute as early as possible but preferably by or before mid-December 2023. To avoid conflict of interest, none of the nominees may be a next of kin of any serving employee of the ECO Secretariat, its specialized and affiliated agencies or the Missions of Member States in Tehran. The ECOCI requests the ECO General Secretariat for similar necessary action by endorsing the above request of this Institute to all the ECO specialized agencies, the ECO Bank and the affiliated organizations and institutions This Institute requests similar necessary action from the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to publicize the award through Iranian diplomatic and cultural missions and all the Khanaha e Farhang e Iran in ECO member states in order to obtain maximum registrations and nominations. ECO Cultural Institute avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Embassies of ECO Member States, and ECO Secretariat in Tehran the assurances of its highest consideration. *************
