Group Chief Executive Officer of VEON Mr. Kaan Terzio?lu along with CEO Jazz Aamir Ibrahim called on Caretaker Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Dr. Umar Saif in his office on Wednesday. Matters of mutual interests and related to Telecom sector were discussed during the meeting. Talking to VEON delegation, Dr. Umar Saif said that provision of quality telecom services to masses is the topmost priority, adding that steps are on for better connectivity in the country. He said that tech neutral spectrum will be auctioned soon to provide better telecom services. Vowing to launch 5G, Dr. Umar Saif said that Ministry of IT and Telecommunication will extend every possible cooperation to telecom industry. He said that smart mobile phones will be provided on easy instalment soon. Dr. Umar Saif noted that Pakistan has conducive investment atmosphere, urging Jazz to invest in e-agriculture, e-education and e-health sectors. He also appreciated VEON Group for its efforts in technology field and provision of smart phones. Kaan Terzio?lu and Aamir Ibrahim said the stable telecom systems are vital for the foundation of digital ecosystem and the economic stability of country.
