A high level delegation led by Liu Jianming Deputy Party Secretary, Deputy Political Comissar of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps met with the Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Mr. Madad Ali Sindhi today on 28th November, 2023. Madad Ali Sindhi warmly welcomed the delegation and said that he has prioritized the quality of education and reduction of out of school children. He said that the progress in China in the last 70 years has been exemplary. Minister appreciated the technical and educational up gradation in China and said that we look towards China to learn from their road to success. He said that Pakistan and China have an ironclad relation which is exemplified by CPEC. Madad Ali Sindhi stressed the need to increase exchange in the field of education and technology. He said that there should be collaboration between universities of China and Pakistan to enhance and broaden the scope of research. Madad said that China and Pakistan’s cultural relationship goes back to 2500 years. He said that the remains of the civilisation of Mohenjo daro, Taxila and Ghandahara reflect the Buddhist exchange between the two oldest civilisations of the world. He further extended an invitation to the delegation to visit the historic sites. Minister said that an MoU will be signed to practically execute plans of cooperation. He said that there are more than 30,000 Pakistani students studying in China and there is still room for further cooperation. He said the it is time that we accelerate exchanges and take full advantage from the learnings of each other. Madad Ali Sindhi directed the heads of HEC and NAVTTC to fully cooperate with Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (XPCC). He said that modernisation and technical education is imperative to solve the problems of today and tomorrow. He said that we have an extensive agricultural potential and through Chinese support we can take full advantage of the natural resources present in our country. Liu Jianming Deputy Party Secretary, Deputy Political Comissar of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps said that China and Pakistan have a longstanding relation which will only further strengthen. He said that the purpose of his visit is to enhance cooperation in modernisation of the Pakistani Agriculture and Technical Education. He said that there are two universities and 10 vocational institutes under his organisation and he wishes to take cooperation further. He said that there are already 1800 Pakistani students studying in these institutes in the field of agriculture, medical and animal husbandry. Similarly, he emphasized on the need to exchange expertise especially with respect to training of teachers. His Excellency and the Education Minister agreed to start an exchange program for the training of faculty at university level.
