DEMP HOLDS PHOTOGRAPHIC/PAINTING EXHIBITION TO EXPRESS SOLIDARITY WITH KASHMIRIS/HIGHLIGHT INDIAN ATROCITIES ON KASHMIR BLACK DAY

Directorate of Electronic Media and Publications organized a Photographic, Painting and Poster exhibition on occasion of Kashmir Black Day to highlight Indian atrocities in IOJK so far since India’s illegal occupation on 27th October, 1948 and also to express solidarity and support to Kashmiri brethren. More than 50 students of various universities of Islamabad/Rawalpindi participated enthusiastically in this painting/poster competition belonging to Fatima Jinnah Women University, Mashal Degree College Wah Cantt, Abasyn University, Islamabad, University of Wah, Wah Engineering College, National University of Medical Science, International Islamic University, Comsats University Islamabad, National Defence University, NUML University Islamabad, Women University Rawalpindi and Nutech University, Islamabad. Syeda Mahrukh from Fatima Jinnah Women University, Islamabad got 1st Position in painting competition. Syeda Nahya Batool of Mashal Degree College, Wah Cantt obtained 2nd position. Maryam Mumtaz of Mashal Degree College, Wah Canntt got 3rd position. Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Mr. Zahoor Ahmad distributed the prizes to position holders and certificates to all participants. Secretary Ministry of Information and Broadcasting highlighted India atrocities on Kashmiris and reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to stay united with Kashmiris through thick and thin. He said that holding of such exhibition for Kashmir cause through involvement of youth definitely assists in highlighting the atrocities on Kashmiris. Executive Director General Mr. Muhammad Arshad Munir also expressed solidarity with Kashmiris on Kashmir Black Day. *-*-*-*-*-*
