The Federal Minister for Law has stated in his message that this day reminds us of the events of 1947 when Indian forces illegally entered and initiated a chapter of oppression, imprisonment, and tyranny upon innocent people in Srinagar. India has been consistently violating the human rights of Kashmiri people in the occupied territory of Kashmir. Pakistan is observing Black Day to protest against India's unlawful occupation and to remind the international community of its commitments under the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions that support the right to self-determination for the people of Kashmir. India is not only committing grave human rights violations but also enforcing oppressive laws to further its control over the land and properties of Kashmiri people. The Minister for Law stated in his message that the global community should exert pressure on India to cease its serious human rights violations. He emphasized the need for implementing the UN resolutions to resolve the issue of Kashmir.
