A delegation of the Pakistan Navy led by Rear Admiral Javaid Iqbal HI(M), Commandant of the Pakistan Navy War College, along with officers from the Pakistan Navy, visited the Ministry of Maritime Affairs on their Inland Study Tour to Islamabad. The delegation was warmly welcomed by SAPM on Maritime Affairs, Vice Admiral (retired) Mr. Iftikhar Rao, who played a pivotal role in facilitating this enriching experience. SAPM accompanied by Secretary Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Dr. Iram Anjum Khan, and a team of dedicated officials from the ministry provided the officers of the Pakistan Navy with an in-depth overview of the operational nature of MOMA. During the meeting, SAPM on Maritime Affairs Mr. Iftikhar Rao briefed the officers of the Pakistan Navy on the multifaceted roles and responsibilities of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs. He highlighted the crucial role the ministry plays in the development, regulation, and management of Pakistan's maritime resources and affairs. The officers, displaying their keen interest in the workings of the ministry, actively participated by asking insightful questions. These inquiries covered various aspects of maritime governance, including maritime security, port management, environmental protection, and international collaborations. The visit to MOMA is part of the ongoing inland study tour of the 53rd PN Staff Course, aimed at providing the course participants with first-hand exposure to key institutions and organizations that contribute to Pakistan's maritime interests. The SAPM on Maritime Affairs expressed its appreciation for the proactive engagement of the officers and their dedication to enhancing their knowledge of maritime affairs. This visit exemplifies the spirit of cooperation and collaboration between the Pakistan Navy and the Ministry of Maritime Affairs in strengthening Pakistan's maritime capabilities.
