Caretaker Federal Minister for Human Rights Khalil George visited Quetta for the first time after assuming the portfolio of the ministry. The people of the area, including the Christian community, gave him a grand welcome and he was escorted to his residence in the form of a procession. The people of the area congratulated him on becoming the caretaker federal minister. The federal minister walked as an expression of solidarity with the Christian community. Later, the caretaker Federal Minister for Human Rights, Khalil George, while talking to journalists, said that for the first time in the 76-year history of the country, a ministry like human rights has been given to the Christian community. The minority and especially the Christian community are deeply grateful for this. The federal minister further said that love for Pakistan is in every vein. Khalil George assured the Christian community and the people of the area that serving the people is the first priority and will try to solve the problems of the people at their doorsteps.
