Caretaker Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Syed Jamal Shah directed all the cultural and literary organizations of National Heritage and Culture Division to plan special programs to pay tribute to National heroes on Pakistan Defence Day to be observed on September 6. Chairing a review meeting regarding 6 September preparations, attended by Secretary National Heritage and Culture Humaira Ahmed, Joint Secretaries, heads of its attached departments, including; Pakistan National Council of the Arts, Lok Virsa, National Language Promotion Department, Department of Archeology and Museum and Pakistan Academy of Letters. Federal Minister Jamal Shah said that 6 September is an important day in the history of our country and in this aspect all the departments should plan special cultural events to highlight the sacrifices of our national heroes. He also said that a National Songs mega musical event would be organized in which renowned singers would sing national songs to mark the day in a befitting manner. He assigned the task to all the organizations to work in coordination for making the event a successful. The minister highlighted the importance of the participation of children and youth in the mega cultural and literary events. *******
