Federal minister for law and justice senator Azam nazir Tarar attended the opening ceremony of Islamic Law orientation course for the lawyers of Islamabad organized by Federal Shariat Academy in collaboration with the Islamabad Bar Association.Law minister while addressing the audience shared his views regarding the importance and role of legal education and training in further improving the professional standards in the legal sphere.Law minister appreciated the efforts of federal shariat academy's management and Islamabad bar council in educating the young lawyers through these type of exercises. Law minister stressed upon the need for legal education that it is the real task and need of the hour.He further added that acquiring legal education and training is necessary for understanding the technicalities of the profession and to serve the client in the best possible manner. Profession of law is the noblest duty that has its own history. These kind of exercises further enhance the skills of legal practitioners. Moreover a lawyer is always in a learning phase so to bridge the gap and shortcomings in the legal profession training programs are necessary.Director General federal shariat academy Farkhanda Zia appreciated the efforts of the honourable Law minister senator Azam Nazir Tarar for the betterment of legal education. Due to the active involvement of the law minister standards of legal education have improved. The initiative of mandatory Bar vocational training program before acquiring the practicing license for young lawyers is another step towards improving the standards of legal education.
