Students from Kurram call on Federal Minister Sajid Hussain Turi Islamabad: March 09, 2023

A delegation of students from Government Postgraduate College Parachinar and Government Degree College Sadda calls on Sajid Hussain Turi Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development today at his office. The delegation was led by Murtaza Hussain, Gohar Zaman, Bakht Zamin Mangal and Iftikhar Hussain and was sponsored by the CRA-N in accordance with the objective of getting social cohesion. The delegation briefed the Minister on various issues, particularly the problems of the students of the newly merged districts (former FATA). Sajid Hussain Turi told the students that the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development has taken various measures to fully support the studies of children of working folks and overseas Pakistanis. He said that huge funds in millions of rupees have been released to pay the scholarships of students in various universities of the country. He said that providing better educational opportunities to children of workers and overseas Pakistanis is his first priority. He said that schools are being opened by his ministry in all districts of former FATA so that the children of workers and overseas Pakistanis can get quality education. He said that OPF and Workers Welfare Fund schools will not only benefit the children of workers and overseas Pakistanis but also the common people. Federal Minister Sajid Hussain Turi urged the students to actively participate in socioeconomic and extra-curricular activities and launch awareness campaigns regarding women's education. He advised the students to also take skill, technical and language courses as Pakistan is getting demand for skilled manpower from all over the world especially from European countries. The Minister appreciated and extended a warm welcome to the delegation and assured full cooperation to resolve all outstanding issues including the core issues related to education and health sector. *-*-*-*-*
