IN THE LIGHT OF SUPREME COURT OF PAKISTAN DECISION, FEDERAL MINISTER FOR RAILWAYS CHAIRED A HIGH LEVEL MEETING AT MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS
Islamabad: January 11, 2023

In the light of Supreme Court of Pakistan’s decision, a high level meeting was chaired by Khawaja Saad Rafique, Federal Minister for Railways. The meeting was attended by Mr. Zafar Zaman Ranjha, Secretary / Chairman Railways, Syed Mazhar Ali Shah, Additional Secretary Railways, Mr. Arshad Salam Khattak, Secretary Railway Board, and by all concerned Director Generals of Ministry of Railways. Federal Minister for Railways appreciated Supreme Court of Pakistan for taking up matter of Pakistan Railways which will increase efficiency and service delivery in Railways. Ministry of Railways has started work on the preparation & comprehensive business plan for land management based on the principle of transparency, merit and accountability. A high level committee headed by Mr. Arshad Salam Khattak, Secretary Railway Board and comprising of Mr. Hafeezullah, Director General, Property & Land, Mr. Hamid Mehmood, Chief Financial Officer, Syed Najam Saeed, CEO, RAILCOP and Syed Shozab Raza naqvi, FA & CAO /Revenue was constituted to prepare the business plan. In addition, it was decided to start Green line train by end of this month. The transport of wheat and fertilizer also came under discussion.
