A Bench of Federal Shariat Court comprising of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Dr. Syed Muhammad Anwer, Chief Justice and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Khadim Hussain M. Shaikh heard a Shariat Suo Moto regarding forced child marriage, which was fixed for hearing today. The learned Law officer for the province of Baluchistan submitted a detail report regarding in-human occurrence in Baluchistan, upon which Federal Shariat Court took the Suo Moto notice of allegedly force marriage of a six years old girl. The law officer was asked about the provincial legislature to prevent child marriage and as well as the forced marriage. The court directed the law officer to submit a detail report regarding such legislation and the draft for such legislature on or before next date of hearing.
