Ignite National Technology Fund (MOITT) signed a memorandum of understanding with Institute of Rural Management (IRM). The MoU was signed by Asim Shahryar Husain, CEO Ignite and Dr. Roomi S. Hayat, CEO IRM. Both, Ignite and IRM are committed to achieve the Google Career Certification (GCC) targets with this collaboration.
In his statement highlighting the event, Federal Minister for IT and Telecom Syed Amin-Ul-Haque said this alliance will further equip people with theoretical and practical knowledge of gain in-demand skills that can lead to jobs in the fields of IT support and automation, project management, UX design, data analytics, digital marketing & ecommerce and much more. This will also give an edge to certified trainees while getting entry-level jobs besides achieving career advancement.
Syed Amin-Ul-Haque, further said that Ignite carries an unmatched experience in delivering free online trainings hence through this partnership Ignite will help achieve the desired goals of IRM and Google. He also appreciated the Ignite team for bringing forth such valuable programs through national and international collaborations for the youth.
On the occasion, Asim Shahryar Husain, CEO Ignite said that this agreement shall provide both Ignite and IRM with a framework to achieve the GCC goals in the best way possible. We are eager to engage and equip our prospective learners with the Google Certification Career activities. He also highlighted that through DigiSkills Training Program Ignite has already received more than 2.7 million enrollments over the last 4 years in 10 different freelancing courses and in the Phase-II we have added 5 new courses this year and our goal is to take Pakistan’s freelancing exports to a billion dollars within the next 3-4 years.
“Youth are the destiny driver of the nations, and GCC program would function as a catalyst to open a new paradigm of opportunities to them,” said Dr. Roomi S. Hayat, CEO IRM.
He shared that during the last 30 years, IRM trained 1.2 million youth in various trades/courses and ensured their economic independence and empowerment, especially women. He also expressed, under this MoU, IRM and Ignite shall enable youth to have practical employable in-demand certificates courses, real time problem-solving skills to capture the bigger national and international job market. He further added that they are pleased to partner with Ignite for the GCC which shall enable people to have real time problem-solving skills for the future of work job market.
As part of this agreement IRM and Ignite are expected to engage 15000 learners through various initiatives across Pakistan. This agreement reinforces the Ignite’s commitment towards supporting innovation and tech advancement.
