Workshop on PMES, Training Course in Digital Media, mark launch of ISA’s
Capacity Building Program for M/o I&B Employees

Islamabad: August 29, 2022 (PR): A One-day Workshop on PMES, “Project Monitoring and Evaluation Systems” and a Weeklong Training Course in “IT, Digital Media and Mass Communication” exclusively for PBC Officers, marked the launch of “Capacity Building Program for Employees of Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and Allied Entities” under PSDP-2022-23, here Monday.
Addressing the launching ceremony organized by the Information Service Academy (ISA), Secretary Information, Shahera Shahid said Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (I&B) attached great importance to Capacity Building of its Officers in media management and media related spheres, including digital and social media and use of IT in publicity and projection. She added that the Ministry of I&B also desired building up know how of officers in designing and implementing development projects. She welcomed launch of the Capacity Building Program by ISA as a PSDP project in FY 2022-23. She also appreciated the Projects Wing, M/o Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, especially Mr. Imran Liaquat Baig, DG (MIS), for holding the One Day Workshop PMES in collaboration with the ISA.
Earlier Mr. Mohammad Usman, DS (C&D), M/o I&B elaborated on the objectives of the special workshop which was followed by a detailed presentation by Mr. Khizer Hayat Sabri, Expert from Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives on various facets of Development Projects, their Monitoring and Evaluation Techniques. Mr. Imran Liaquat Baig, DG (MIS) along with Mr. Khizer later responded to queries of about thirty participants from different departments of the Ministry of I&B.
Secretary Information gave away souvenirs and certificates to participants of the One Day Workshop.
Senior Officials of the Ministries of I&B and Planning, Development and Special Initiatives attended the launching ceremony.
