Federal Minister for Defence attends council of Defence Ministers of SCO Countries
Islamabad: August 24, 2022

Federal Minister for Defence -Khawaja Muhammad Asif- led a delegation from Pakistan to attend the Council of Defence Ministers of SCO countries in Tashkent. While speaking during the conference he highlighted the significance of peace in Afghanistan and its importance for Pakistan. He also highlighted the relevance of multilateral organizations and underlined the need for strengthening UN structure. Defence Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif informed the audience that UN should play its active role in the resolution of all outstanding issues faced by the world. He laid special emphasis on resolution of Kashmir issue according to the resolutions of UN. Present on the occasion were Defence Ministers of Russia, China, India, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. ********
