Independence Day Ceremony at Pakistan High Commission London Mayor of London Sadiq Khan to receive Sitara-i-Pakistan
Islamabad: August 12, 2022

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan will receive Sitara-i-Pakistan at the Independence Day Ceremony at Pakistan High Commission London on the morning of 14 August 2022, says a press release received here today from London. On behalf of the President of Pakistan, High Commissioner Moazzam Ahmad Khan will confer the prestigious civil award of Pakistan on Mayor Sadiq Khan. The award is being given to the Mayor in recognition of his contribution towards building closer and cordial ties between Pakistan and the United Kingdom as well as his services to various communities in the UK. The Flag Hoisting Ceremony will take place at the High Commission on Sunday, 14 August 2022, at 9:30am. The community members and British friends of Pakistan are welcome to attend the ceremony in person. The event will also be Live Streamed on High Commission’s Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/Pakistaninuk1 for virtual participation by the diaspora.
