International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was celebrated on June 26 2022 (Sunday) across the globe to raise awareness of the major problems that illicit drugs create in society. The day is supported by individuals, communities and various organizations all over the world. An event to commemorate the World Drug Day 2022 by UNODC, Ministry of Narcotics Control and Anti-Narcotics Force Government of Pakistan, event took place in Islamabad. People from all walks of life international and national counter parts, Civil Society, students, housewives, children and media joined the event there was also an arrangement of walk for people. Secretary Ministry of Narcotics control Ms Humaira Ahmad graced the event and gave his remarks on the drug abuse and prevention and applauded UNODC, ANF and ministry of narcotics control for their work in controlling drug usage. Representative UNODC Mr. Jeremy Milsom also gave his remarks on the occasion.
