MS NILOFAR BAKHTIAR, CHAIRPERSON NCSW, ADDRESSES UN’S 66TH SESSION OF THE COMMISSION ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN

During her speech at the Ministerial Roundtable on 14th March 2022, Ms Nilofar Bakhtiar highlighted that gender parity and climate change are two of the most pressing issues concerning our world. She further discussed the eminent Pakistani women leaders, such as Benazir Bhutto and how Pakistani women are currently serving as Supreme Court judges, CEOs and fighter pilots. Ms Nilofar further stressed that Pakistan’s carbon emissions are negligible, yet the country is one of the most affected from the adverse effects of climate change.
