PR No. 91 Meeting With Chinese Delegation Regarding Prospects Of Investment In Housing Sector Islamabad

A five member delegation of Chinese Company CSAD (CSIC, Architecture Design and Research Institute Co, Ltd) held a meeting with the Secretary Housing and Works Shahrukh Arbab and discussed various aspects of investment in Housing Sector of Pakistan. Secretary Housing and Works briefed the delegation about investment opportunities in Housing Sector. He said that housing sector has tremendous margin for expansion and collaboration with international investors can provide for the increasing demand in the housing market. He also shed light on the investment friendly policies of Government of Pakistan and urged the delegates to take advantage from the incentives offered to the investors. The Chinese delegation showed keen interest in investment in the housing sector, particularly Apna Ghar Scheme and Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation Development Schemes. The Chinese delegation expressed its commitment towards continuing such consultations with the attached departments of Ministry of Housing and Works for joint ventures in the future. The meeting was attended by senior officers of the Ministry and all heads of departments of the Ministry of Housing and Works.
