AMBASSADOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF IRAQ HE MR HAMID ABBAS LAFTA CALLED ON FEDERAL MINISTER FOR MARITIME AFFAIRS SYED ALI HAIDER ZAIDI

Ambassador of the republic of Iraq HE Mr Hamid Abbas Lafta called on Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi Both Minister and Ambassador spoke about the brotherly relations between Pakistan and Iraq. "Every year thousands of Zaireen from Pakistan visit the holy sites in Iraq and we look forward to complete facilitation in future too" said the minister. Minister Zaidi thanked Ambassador for Iraq's support to Pakistan in the upcoming IMO Elections. Also Minister shared his vision for low income and poor Zaireen's and how he intends to run a ship from Pakistan to Iraq; Ambassador aligned with Ministers vision assured complete facilitation in this regard. Minster and Ambassador agreed for the signing of an MoU between Pakistan an Iraq linking the two brotherly countries via sea very soon.
