Federal Minister for Science and Technology Senator Shibli Faraz called on Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The meeting was attended by Information Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, Special Assistant Dr Shahbaz Gill and other concerned officers. The Prime Minister was given a detailed briefing on the electronic voting machine and a practical example of its performance mechanism. Stressing on the usefulness of electronic voting machine in ensuring transparency of the electoral process and effectively addressing the concerns raised by various parties in the past, the Prime Minister said that electronic voting machines are key to restoring and ensuring transparency throughout the electoral process. Prime Minister congratulated Ministry of Science and Technology on this important development.
