Federal Minister for National Food Security, Syed Fakhar Imam chaired a meeting for Cotton Intervention Price in the ministry today. The meeting was attended by Advisor to the Prime Minister Mr. Abdul Razak Dawood in addition with senior officials of the ministry. Federal Minister for National Food Security Mr. Syed Fakhar Imam said that the current government is resolutely committed to supporting the cotton farmers in Pakistan. He said that the government of PTI stands with the cotton farmers and is working tirelessly to instill confidence in them. He said that the government hopes that by setting a minimum support price of cotton overall cotton production of the country will increase, which has been on a steady decline over the past few years. He further stated that setting up a minimum support price of cotton will bring stability in the market.
