Federal Minister for Science and Technolog Shibli Faraz chaired a meeting regarding PCST and NCST today. Draft agenda of the upcoming NCST meeting to be chaired by the PM was discussed during the meeting. Federal Minister gave directions to make certain amendments in the draft agenda. Last meeting of NCST was held in 2001. Federal Minister showed concern that why the meeting of such an important forum has not been held for so long. He emphasized that Science and Technology is among the priority areas of the incumbent government and he will ensure that the NCST meeting is held as soon as possible.
