On the direction of Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Syed Amin Ul Haque, Secretary IT Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui again wrote a letter to all Federal Secretaries in which they are asked to shift the websites of their respective ministries and attached departments to the data center of NTC (National Telecommunication Corporation) for cyber security.
The letter said that official websites on private domain are exposed and vulnerable to cyber attack which may result in leakage of sensitive and important data. It also asked for bringing official emails on ‘gov.pk’.
Meanwhile, during a review meeting on E-office, Federal Minister for IT Syed Amin Ul Haque gave direction for completion of work on E-office by National Information Technology Board (NITB). On his direction, Secretary IT also wrote a letter to Federal Secretaries to shift the offices of their ministries and their departments on E-office for ease doing work, transparency and better public service delivery .
