A delegation of National Dialogue Forum comprising students from 15 universities met SAPM on Youth Affairs Usman Dar here at PM Office, today. The youth led delegation with gender equality included participants from all federating units of the country. Welcoming the delegation, Mr. Dar said that over 60 percent of Pakistan's population is youth whose participation in the policy making is essential. He further said that for inclusion of the youth in policy making, the present government formed National Youth Council (NYC) for getting valueable input from talented young people. Mr Dar emphasized that the PTI's government came into power with the support of Pakistani youth and is determined to work for their welfare and development. "After 18th amendment, youth is a provincial subject, but under the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Federal government has taken historic initiatives for youth development", said Mr. Dar. "National Youth Development Framework (NYDF) is a comprehensive roadmap designed for youth development by our government which is implemented through PM Kamyab Jawan Programme. The programme includes Rs 100 billion Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme, Skills Programme and other major initiatives related to youth empowerment", explained Mr. Dar. SAPM emphasized that quota for the students from Balochistan in technical education courses will be enhanced. Mr. Dar said that youth centers are being established in all parts of the country for career counselling of youth. He said that people of newly emerged districts in KP will soon witness a positive change in the near future as no one has ever paid attention to those areas. The visiting students shared thier views on various issues faced by youth. They also gave suggestions to improve various initiatives taken for the betterment of Pakistani youth.
