Aon Abbas led Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) moves a step forward to become a digital welfare organization being equipped to replace the current data recording with the more efficient and fast digitally integrated system, connecting regional, provincial and districts hospitals. In this regard, PBM inked MoU with NOVARTIS Pakistan to materialize the digital infrastructure within the organization. In a ceremony held here in PBM Head Office, Managing Director PBM, Aon Abbas Buppi and Head of Market Access & Regulatory Affairs Ayesha Mushtaq signed the MoU, while Country President and Chief Executive NOVARTIS, Imran Rasheed also joined the ceremony via online video calling. Under the corporate social responsibility, NOVARTIS pharma will contribute Rs.10 million to PBM for having hardware equipment. Addressing the ceremony, Managing Director PBM termed this initiative an imperative cost saving tool to meet the colossal responsibility of poverty reduction ensuring the efficiency, transparency and accessibility. “In line with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan on Digitalized Pakistan, PBM, in collaboration with NOVARTIS Pakistan, is launching an inclusive e-processing solution for medical cases to benefit the poorest of the poor patients of the country”, he added appreciating the NOVARTIS Pakistan for its valuable contribution. On the occasion, Imran Rasheed, Country President and Chief Executive NOVARTIS Pharma, further explained that to facilitate the deserving patients and to make the e-processing more productive and efficient, Novartis will provide an end to end solution enabling state-of-the-art digital infrastructure to support the PBM’s district offices throughout the country.
