H.E Dr. Ali Ahmed Arain, Ambassador of Pakistan to the Repubic of Cabo Verde, with residence, at Dakar, presented his Credentials to His Excellency Mr. Jorge Carlos Fonseca, President of Republic of the Cabo Verde in an impressive ceremony held at the Presidential Palace, Praia o 11 November, 2020 says a press release received from Parep Dakar here today.
The Ambassador was escorted to the Presidential Palace by a large motorcade. He was received by the Head of State Protocol and the Chief of Staff of the President.
During the 30-minute audience, the Ambassador presented his Letters of Credence to the President which accredited him as the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Cabo Verde. The Ambassador, on behalf of the President and the Prime Minister, conveyed best wishes to President Foseca, the Government and the people of Cabo Verde. The Ambassador also shared proposals relating to cooperation in the field of Tourism, Renewable Energy and Information Technology. The Ambassador expressed his desire to work for further strengthening relations between the two brotherly countries.
President Fonseca warmly welcomed the Ambassador to the Presidential Place. Appreciating friendly relations between Pakistan and Cabo Verde, the President extended warm wished to the President, Prime Minister and the People of Pakistan. He appreciated the proposed initiatives of the Ambassador and assured that the government of Cabo Verde would do its best to get them materialized.
The Ambassador thanked the President for such warm welcome and presented a hand-made Pakistani carpet, which he greatly appreciated.
