In recognition of the illustrious services of Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, the President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi, conferred Nishan-i-Imtiaz (Military) upon him at a special Investiture Ceremony, held at Aiwan-e-Sadr, today. The ceremony was attended by Federal Ministers, senior military and civil officials of the Government of Pakistan. Admiral Muhammad Khan Niazi, CNS, was commissioned in Operational Branch of the Pakistan Navy in January 1985. He has held important Command and Staff appointments both afloat and ashore. The Government of Republic of France has also conferred upon him the medal of “Chevalier” in recognition of his commendable services during Tsunami Relief Operations in 2004. He was promoted to the rank of Admiral and appointed as Chief of the Naval Staff on 7th October, 2020. He is the 21st Chief of the Naval Staff.
