Federal Minister for Energy Mr. Omar Ayub Khan and Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Petroleum Mr. Nadeem Babar welcomed Mr. Jam Kamal Khan, Chief Minister Balochistan at Petroleum House in this morning. Higher Officials from Government of Balochistan and Petroleum Division also attended the meeting.
Both sides deliberated upon the matters pertaining to petroleum sector and reviewed the on-going projects related to international joint ventures in Balochistan. Both sides agreed to continue the mutual cooperation between the Federation and Province in energy including oil & gas sector.
The Federal Minister and SAPM apprised the Chief Minister on the status of infrastructure development projects related to oil sector along with oil & gas exploration & production activities in Balochistan. They also explored the areas of cooperation between the Federal & Provincial Government for development of mineral sector in the Province.
The Chief Minister said that the present provincial government had prepared a comprehensive policy for development of the natural resources and several projects had also been included in the annual development programme for development of the natural resources. He added that Provincial Government had took concrete steps to stablise the provincial economy through its own natural resources, so that, people of Balochistan could cultivate benefits from the development and economic activities in the Province.
At the conclusion of meeting, the Chief Minister and Federal Minister resolved to extend consultations and cooperation on energy projects to take maximum mutual benefit from natural resources in the country.
