Japan Ambassador to Pakistan, Kuninori Matsuda expressed Japan’s desire to pace up process of recruitment of Information Technology and Health care workers from Pakistan.
In meeting with Adviser to Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and HRD, Syed Zulfikar Bukhari, Kuninori Matsuda said that Japan is in dire need of trained manpower in information technology and nursing care. He said that the Information technology companies in Japan are particularly keen to work with Pakistani-trained youth.
The Japanese envoy apprised the SAPM that Japan has launched ‘Highly skilled Visa’ category to make the recruitment process fast. The IT trained manpower in Pakistan can apply under this category for obtaining a swift and a hassle-free visa for Japan.
The ambassador also congratulated Pakistan on successfully curbing the Corona Virus.
He further said that Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan was the first to express his best wishes for the health of the President of Japan. The message of the Prime Minister Imran Khan was highly welcomed in Japan which has also been expressed in the tweet of the President of Japan.
SAPM on Overseas Pakistanis and HRD, Sayed Zulfikar Abbas Bukhari on the occasion said that 65% of Pakistan’s population is less than 35 years of age. Providing employment to our labor in Japan will lead to new avenues of co-operation between the two countries and further strengthen the bilateral ties.
SAPM assured his full co-operation in sending manpower to Japan. He apprised the delegation about the hurdles created by Corona Virus in sending skilled workforce to Japan. “Currently, after struggling through the hurdles created by the pandemic, sending workforce to Japan is my top priority.” he said
He further said that Government is already sending Medical care staff to Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. 4000 Nursing staff can be sent to Japan on immediate basis.
SAPM also expressed his desire to conduct a three-day government-sponsored job fair in Pakistan. “Japanese IT Companies can participate in the job fair for fast and efficient recruiting” he said.
The idea was welcomed by the delegation. The ambassador assured to finalise the proposal in the subsequent meeting.
