Asian Development Bank (ADB) has shown keen interest to collaborate with Prime Minister's Kamyab Jawan Programme through partnership in various micro financing schemes launched for financial inclusion of youth. This was stated by ADB's representatives during a meeting with Muhammad Usman Dar, Special Assistant to PM on Youth Affairs held via video link here at PM Office, today.
While appreciating the bank's interest to mutually work towards empowerment of Pakistani youth, Mr. Dar said that youth has huge potential and can play key role in putting the country on track of progress and development. He said that the present government is investing heavily in youth for achieving thier economic empowerment, enhancing business activities and creating employment opportunities.
Asif Cheema, Deputy Country Director ADB along with his team members participate in the meeting. "We will share concept paper containing proposal regarding lending to micro financing schemes run by PM Kamyab Jawan Programme. ADB is keenly interested to explore all possible avenues for collaboration with Kamyab Jawan Programme", said Mr. Cheema.
Mr. Dar assured of his all-out support for ensuring ADB's meaningful participation in PM Kamyab Jawan Programme aimed at financial inclusion of youth. He expressed the willingness to also work on developing new loans schemes besides those already operative under Youth Enterprenuership Scheme under the umbrella of PM Kamyab Jawan Programme.
