President Dr Arif Alvi approved August 18, 2020 as the "Poll Day" for General Elections to Gilgit -Baltistan (GB) legislative Assembly. It is worth- stating that the GB legislative Assembly, after completion of statutory term, stands dissolved w.e.f 24 June, 2020 and next General Elections for the Assembly is required to be held within 60 days from the said date. Election Commission GB is responsible for conducting elections in 24 Constituencies of GB.
