The interim inquiry report into the petrol crisis/shortage has been submitted to the Honorable Prime Minister yesterday. It is continuation of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s directives to probe into the artificial petrol shortage created in the country. It is also a manifestation of the Petroleum Division’s resolve to hold those responsible for this crisis to account, award punishments and ensure transparency.
It should be noted that since this matter is now sub-judice in four Honourable High Courts, any speculation by the media should be avoided. The regulatory and legal process pertaining to this matter is underway and actions will be taken according to Law.
