Interior Minister briefed NCOC regarding Eid ul Azha management plan and associated hazards of Mandis / qurbani in public places / urban areas. NCOC forum was briefed that plan for Qurbani on Eid Ul Azha in wake of Corona virus threat will be finalised after consensus of all stake holders particularly the religious leaders on following areas :- 1. Mechanism for animal sacrifices. 2. Concept of Ijtimai Qurbani / Online booking (on line of Hajj) . 3. Central arrangements for distribution of meat through civil administration and local committees.4. Modalities will be finalized within next week thus complete month will be available to provinces for making necessary arrangements . 5. Medical SOPs regarding animal sacrifice on Eid-ul Azha will be formulated by Ministry of Health . Update Availability of oxygen for Medical Use A comprehensive plan of action to review the need assessment for Oxygen for medical use & availability to hospitals as follow :- • Ministry of Health to make a detailed plan for uninterrupted oxygen supplies vis-à-vis projected disease spread. Ministry of Health, Industries and NDMA to ensure that uninterrupted Oxygen Supply to all the hospitals requiring Oxygen is being managed. • Minister Industries will engage with manufactures of Oxygen in order to finalize way forward for capacity enhancement. • Ministry of health will provide exact oxygen demand as per disease projections and projected requirement of oxygenated beds of all types to ministry of Industries and NDMA for correct estimation of requirement and initiation of procurement procedures of cylinders and gas. • Hospital level demand and corresponding supply will be ensured • Provision of 24-hour road access for oxygen gas supply vehicles/ cryogenic tankers by all Provincial Govts / ICT administration will be ensured as per health guidelines/ instructions. • Based on Industries Division estimates, supplemented with scale of additional requirements, NDMA to ensure the urgent acquisition of additional cylinders, specially to meet the hospitals ramp up plan.
