The Embassy of Pakistan, Tehran in addition to travel facilitation and accommodation of zaireen, has conducted first phase of distribution of essential food items to those Pakistani families that are facing financial difficulties after a prolonged lockdown in Iran due to coronavirus, says a press release received from Tehran here today.
In the first phase more than seventy such families received ration packages consisting of essential food items ahead of the holy month of Ramdan.
Since the outbreak of Coronavirus in Iran, the Embassy in Tehran and its consulates in Mashhad and Zahedan have set up round the clock hotlines to provide necessary assistance and information to the Pakistani diaspora in Iran. The Embassy is in contact with all community members and student leaders and has extended all possible assistance to them while the Zaireen in Mashhad and Qom have been provided with boarding/ lodging and facilitated in repatriation to Pakistan.
