Ambassador of Pakistan to Iran H.E Rahim Hayat Qureshi presented copy of his credentials to Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran H.E Javad Zarif at Institute of Political and International Studies (IPIS) today in Tehran, says a press release received here today from Tehran.
Foreign Minister Javad Zarif welcomed Ambassador Rahim Hayat Qureshi to Iran and underscored that both Pakistan and Iran are brotherly countries with common culture, traditions and also set of challenges. He admired Pakistan’s efforts for promoting peace and stability in the region. He appreciated cooperation among the Ministries for Health for coordinating on countering outbreak of Corona Virus in the region. He also hoped that bilateral ties between both the countries will further move from strength to strength. He also underlined Iran’s strong support on the Kashmir issue.
Ambassador Rahim Hayat Qureshi highlighting the cultural, religious, historical affinities and commonalities between the two countries assured Foreign Minister Javad Zarif of endeavoring for further strengthening of our brotherly relations between the two countries and overcoming common challenges through mutual cooperation.
As an experienced diplomat and officer of the Foreign Service of Pakistan, he has served at various important positions in the Foreign Office and Pakistan’s Missions in Paris, Rome, New Delhi and Seoul. He has extensive experience in dealing with the affairs of OIC, Europe and South as well as South East Asia.
