Minister of State for Climate Change Ms. Zartaj Gul said that Imran’s promise is our promise according to his vision clean green Pakistan. We should make Pakistan plastic free by giving up use of plastic bag in our life. She was addressing as a chief guest at a clean green advocacy campaign launched by Hashooo Foundation and Oxfam in partnership with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) at Centaurus Mall to raise awareness about the importance of eco-friendly bags.
A flash mob was performed by a group of young environment champions at the event to showcase the role that citizens can play in ensuring a positive shift in shopping practices which was widely appreciated by the public.
Zartaj Gul appreciated the role Hashoo Foundation is playing in supporting women entrepreneurship and empowerment. Ms. Ayesha khan thanked the Minister and Oxfam for their support.
DG (EPA) Ms. Farzana Altaf also emphasized the public for using eco-friendly cloth bags which was in the stall made by 10 semi/-skilled women who were trained by Hashoo Foundation and Oxfam support.
